He graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor’s Degree and
received his doctorate degree in chiropractic from Life University, School of Chiropractic, in Marietta, Georgia.
Dr. Martin received his internship training from Life University’s out- patient clinics.
Dr. Martin received his diploma in Chiropractic Physio-therapuetics
from New York Chiropractic College, in Seneca Falls, New York. This was an extensive program that trained
him in the management of patients with serious injuries. It placed an emphasis on the use of modalities
in the chiropractic office.
Dr. Martin has received numerous post-graduate education credentials. Most relevant is his certification
as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (C.C.E.P.), which he scored honors on the Council on Extremity Adjusting
certification test. As a C.C.E.P., Dr. Martin is able to perform a global assessment on his patients.
Many times, he discovers that the true cause of the patient's pain may be coming from the upper or lower extremities.
There are fewer than 600 C.C.E.P.s in the United States. He recently studied electro diagnostic
studies and his offices will soon be offering this service.
As a student Dr. Martin was certified a first class fitness instructor through the American
Association of Personal Trainers. He was employed as a fitness consultant at Body Designs Personal Training
in Atlanta, Georgia. His work as a personal trainer sparked an interest in more than just chiropractic.
That is why at his offices there is a strict emphasis on rehabilitative exercise therapy.
Dr. Martin specializes in a remarkable, non-surgical,
non-epidural, drug free treatment of disc conditions, stenosis, and chronic neck and back pain, known as Disc Decompression
Therapy. He also conservatively treats migraine headaches, neck and arm pain, acute and chronic injuries,
and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Using a wider range of chiropractic techniques, including diversified adjusting, the Activator Method, sacral occipital
technique, Cox Flexion Distraction and Disc Decompression Therapy for disc injuries, modalities, myofascial release, and exercise
therapy. Dr. Martin is committed to an integrative chiropractic approach to conservative care.
Throughout
his career, Dr. Martin has had an active interest in holistic health. In his practice he has emphasized
the need to see the back and joint patient as a whole person with lifestyle, nutritional, and stress factors as important
components in successful care. He works closely with the medical community and feels that medicine and
chiropractic offer patients complimentary care for spinal conditions.
