Why visit a Chiropractor?
Chiropractic is
presently the world’s third largest health care profession. For the past two decades, more people have chosen to treat
with doctors of chiropractic than any other health care provider. The reason is simple… Chiropractors are trained to
find the root of the problem, not to medicate it. More than ever in today’s society, we have the knowledge and understanding
behind medication therapy and how that differs from correcting the source or cause of our problems. Chiropractic is a drug
free health care option aimed at raising function and improving overall health. How
is Chiropractic Different?
The principle is straightforward. By evaluating the
body as a whole to identify areas of weakness and predisposed structural imbalances, we find the root cause of disease, dysfunction
and pain. The chiropractic approach to better health is to detect, remove and prevent vertebral misalignments (subluxation)
which cause nervous system dysfunction. Dysfunction occurs through stress or trauma to our spines and extremities. Examples
of dysfunction include chemical, emotional and physical stressors dealt within our everyday lives, motor vehicle accidents,
sports injuries, work related injuries, repetitive types of movement and biomechanical spinal changes (posture). Diagnostic testing
We try and
make our patients experience as relaxing as possible so we now offer diagnostic testing on site to prevent the hassles of
driving all over town to receive these services. In today’s high tech medical world diagnostic testing is becoming ever
more important to help physicians treat there patients. The diagnostic tests that we offer on site include X-ray and NCV/SSEP
diagnostic equipment. X-ray diagnostic testing is used to see the bones and overall structure of our patients. NCV/SSEP diagnostic
testing stands for nerve conduction velocity testing and somato sensory evoked potential testing. This non invasive “needle
less” procedure is very effective in determining the cause of tingling and numbness in the extremities. The reason we
use this high tech diagnostic equipment is to find and correct the cause of our patients’ problems as quickly as possible.
